Verse Of The Day: Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months until the harvest?’ Look, I tell you, lift up your eyes and see the fields, that they are white for harvest already. John 4:35

LISTEN: Beloved, how serious have you been with the gospel of Jesus Christ? In our verse of the day, Jesus talks about harvest. Harvest is the season when crops are gathered from the fields, or the activity of gathering crops. However, the harvest He talks about here is “evangelism and soul winning.” We are to gather people who should be saved to God, not crops (Matthew 28:18-20). Because of the reality of hell and the uncertainties of life, soul winning and evangelism ought to be carried out with utmost urgency, because people die and go to hell everyday. Death is to life what flood is to crops; and where there is no urgency to a critical situation, what could be saved might be lost. We harvest to gain from what was planted. In the same way, Jesus Christ through His precious blood sowed the seed of life by the gospel of the kingdom of God. His sacrificial death on the cross was the seed planted to reap mankind to God. Therefore, we are to go to all parts of the world to bring harvest of souls through the gospel to Him. Christ Jesus is the sower and we are fellow labourers with Him. (2Corinthians 6:1). But until we show a sense of urgency towards the gospel, and unconditional love for the unsaved, we will neglect them (unsaved) to perish in their ignorance. Beloved, how serious have you been with the gospel lately? Do you know that the gospel demands urgency? Therefore, if you are saved please preach the gospel; but if you are ‘unsaved’, accept the gospel today, for a good reward awaits every dedicated and faithful soul winner (Daniel 12:3). Be wise!

Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?
1. Preach the gospel and stop all forms of procrastination and lazy attitude to it.
2. Strive to fulfill your Christian obligation to the gospel of Christ no matter what.
3. Labour for the gospel of Christ, knowing that your reward awaits you.
4. Be urgent with the gospel of Christ because it demands urgency.

Prayer: Dear Lord, I thank you because Jesus died to save me through the gospel. Therefore, help me to spread this wonderful message to others, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Reflection: Until we have Jesus’s mind of urgency towards the gospel and love for the unsaved, we will neglect them to perish in their ignorance.

Quote: “Not to be serious about spreading the gospel of the kingdom of God, is not to be serious with one’s salvation and faith in Christ Jesus.”

Faith Confession: Today, I confess that Jesus Christ died to save me from the power of death. Therefore, I will spread the message of His death and promise of eternal life, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Biblical Fact: Did you know if you hate Jesus Christ you have hated God? (John 15:23).

Today In History: November 6, 1860 Abraham Lincoln is elected the 16th president of the United States.

Stunning Fact: Did you know porcupines float in water?

Prophetic Declaration: You will make a difference. Today I prophesy to you, may the Lord bless you. May the Lord save you from the power of death, and enable you to preach the gospel of the kingdom to the world, in Jesus’ name.

Bible Verse : Behold how good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity… for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore Psalms 133:1,3

LISTEN: Raising a united family is the beauty of a Christian home. Unity is the language of love. And unity cannot survive where love is absent. Unity brings progress and development. It brings the blessings of God to the people. When a family decides to embrace unity, they have equally positioned themselves for the blessings of God. But any family divided against itself cannot stand. (Mark 3:25). Besides, a divided family will shut the door of progress and development (blessing) against itself. Unity goes with peace, where you cannot find unity you cannot find peace ; and where you cannot find peace you cannot find unity. Beloved, God’s blessings go to where there is peace and unity. God blesses a peaceful and united home, because He knows His blessings will be useful and appreciated. Without peace and unity, blessings received cannot be sustained. Friend, are you living in peace and unity in your home? Are you really getting on well with other members of your family? Unity is good and attracts God’s blessings. The Bible says, “How good and pleasant it is for brethren (brothers and sisters) to live together in unity: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.” (Psalms 133:1,3) So, pursue unity and God’s blessings will come your way. Be wise!

1. Thank God for keeping you alive and safe today.
2. Ask the Lord to forgive your sins and restore your relationship with Him.
3. Ask God for spirit of unity and grace to get on well with others.
4. Pray for protection and peace of mind.
5. Thank God for answering your prayer.

May your sleep be sweet tonight. May God give you the spirit of unity to get on well with others. May His blessings locate you, in Jesus’ name, amen.
