Verse Of The Day: Whoso keeps his mouth and his tongue keeps his soul from troubles. Proverbs 21:23

LISTEN: Keep your tongue and you will save your life ; let it loose and you will lose your life. Beloved, watch your tongue before it puts you in trouble. Your tongue can protect or destroy you: it can cause death and also enhance life. God designed our tongue to be a life-giving organ, and not a life threatening instrument to mankind. Therefore, until you guard your tongue and put it to a wise use you will expose yourself to danger and disaster. My dear, be wise! Know when to talk and when to be silent. Know what to talk and what not to talk. Besides, learn to live by self-control, and not by your impulses. Do not be control by your feelings but by proven principles from the word of God. Say the right thing, and right things will happen to you. (Mathew 12:37). Avoid careless talks, because it will result in a careless end. Keep your tongue from evil and you will live; open it wide in talking evil and you will endanger your life. Our verse of the day says, “Whoso keeps his mouth and his tongue keeps his soul from troubles.” (Proverbs 21:23). It pays to bridle one’s tongue and mouth. Sadly, too many people talk carelessly to their own destruction. They say things they cannot defend ; things that are too high for them. They do not know when to talk and when to keep mute. Friends, be in control of your tongue. If you cannot manage your words you cannot manage your life. Keep your mouth and you will live; let it loose and you will be doomed (Proverbs 18:21). Be wise!

Bible Verse : If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. 1 Corinthians 15:19

LISTEN: This world is passing away, hence, to live just for this present life is to be eternally miserable. Extreme pain, distress and woe await those who reject God. Beloved, as believers in Christ Jesus we should hope in God beyond this life. We should believe Him beyond our quest for healing, miracle, job, marriage, childbirth, health, etc.? As people who have eternity in view, we should cease to live so ungodly, or act wickedly towards others. We should embrace the fear of God, and have respect for human lives. We should not allow the so-called pleasures of this life take the place of God in our hearts. We should not give up on Christ or deny Him in the face of tribulations, persecution and trials. Beloved, we should not limit our hope in Christ to this present life. The Bible says, ”If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable ” (1Cor. 15:19). Friend, when you live just for what the world can offer, surely, you will be miserable hereafter. Therefore, learn to spend your time, energy, resources, etc., on things with eternal value. Always hunger for God; because anyone who will wish for a blissful future with God must learn to hunger for righteousness. (Matthew 5:6). Beloved, if your life is not lived for God, then you have lived in vain. Be wise!

1. Bless God for today no matter what.
2. Ask God for forgiveness, and grace to follow His will.
3. Pray for grace to live for God and His kingdom purposes.
4. Intercede for believers in Christ around the world for grace to be eternally minded.
5. Pray against spiritual wickedness, and ask God to keep you safe.

Today, I prophesy to you, may you not live just for this present life . May the Lord show you the path of life and order your steps in the right direction, in Jesus’ name, amen.
