Verse Of The Day: Bread of deceit is sweet to a man; but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel. Proverbs 20:17
LISTEN: Beloved, open your eyes! The devil and wicked people are out to deceive the gullible. Our verse of the day talks about deceit. Deceit is a dishonest behaviour: behaviour that is meant to fool or trick someone. Deceit is an act against the commandment of God. Many trick others to amass wealth for themselves, get to the top, pull down others, and do many bad things for their own gain. However, the ‘sweetness and joy of deceit’ do not last longer. It satisfies now and hurts later. Deceit is sinful and should be shunned. Many are blinded by the so-called benefits they derive from deceit, as a result, they are willing to follow the will of the devil instead of God’s. The same ‘blindness’ that led Adam and Even, and the entire human race into doom and severance from God is in control of their lives. Beloved, open your eyes! Do not be deceived. The devil entices people just to destroy them. (John 10:10a). The devil is the thief who comes to you with the promise of a better life while his plan is to deliver misery, shame and death to you. He has nothing good to offer to you, but death. When he entices you to commit sin, his plan for you is to die (Romans 6:23). My dear, do not deceive or be deceived. Whatever you gain by deceit or hurting others, you will pay dearly for it later. Our Bible verse says, “Bread of deceit is sweet to a man; but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel.” (Proverbs 20:17). This means that, anything acquired by deceit will get you into trouble. So watch it! In sin, what looks like a breakthrough will certainly and eventually become a heartbreak. Therefore, shun deceit and your life will not be a nightmare in the end.

TOPIC: HAVE YOU TAKEN THE SPIRITUAL MEAL?
Bible Verse : As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that you may grow thereby: 1 Peter 2:2
LISTEN : I know you may be asking in your heart, what kind of meal could that be? Beloved, the meal is the word of God. We eat food not just to satisfy our hunger, but to be strong, grow healthy and stay alive. Growth and life generally cannot be sustained without food. In the same way, our spiritual life cannot be sustained without spiritual food (the word of God). To grow spiritually we should thirst after God. When we hunger and thirst after God and His righteousness, nothing will satisfy our hungry soul but God. Only His words can truly satisfy our spiritual needs. My dear, your hunger for God begins when you realise your emptiness without Him, and the need to desire His words. (John 15:5). We are to hunger for God’s word the way we hunger for physical food. God’s word is key to spiritual growth and maturity. We cannot achieve God’s expectation of us if we do not desire His words. Our Bible verse says, “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that you may grow thereby:” (1 Peter 2:2). Beloved, to be spiritually strong and matured, you must desire God’s word the same way a baby would desire his or her mother’s breast milk. So, embrace, study and meditate on God’s word to grow in line with His will. Eat the word of God and you will not “starve and die.” Be wise!
1. Thank God for protection and daily provisions.
2. Ask for His forgiveness, cleansing and restoration of your life.
3. Pray for grace to hunger and thirst after God and His words.
4. Pray against every mountain of your life, and cast them into the sea forever.
5. Thank God for prayer answered.
Today I prophesy to you, may God cause you to grow as you study and meditate in His word daily, in Jesus’ name, amen.
