Author : Bishop Julius Okarike
Verse Of The Day : Woe unto him that strives with his Maker… Shall the clay say to him that fashions it, What make you? or your work, He has no hands? Isaiah 45:9
LISTEN : Beloved, you are fearfully and wonderfully made, therefore, you should praise God always (Psalms 139:14). Be happy with who you are, and stop quarrelling with your maker. Countless times people strive with God over who they are. They argue with Him over what they feel is not right in their physique (bodily makeup) and nature. They choose to dwell on their deficiencies instead of improving on their lives. They forgot the fact that what we are, cannot stop what we can be. Everyone is created with some special abilities. Whether you are a cripple, blind, dumb, deaf, dullard, or whatever; there is ability in you. God’s grace can turn weakness into strength (Joel 3:10 ; 2 Corinthians 12:9). However, until you accept yourself you cannot discover it. The day you cease to be angry with God and yourself, you will discover your inherent abilities. Rather than complain and mourn your deficiencies, why not focus on what you can do to improve on your life. Arguing and blaming God for anything or everything is a dangerous thing to do. Our verse of the day says, “Woe unto him that strives with his Maker!…” (Isaiah 45:9). The New Living Translation of the Bible puts it this way, “What sorrow awaits those who argue with their Creator. Does a clay pot argue with its maker? Does the clay dispute with the one who shapes it, saying, ‘Stop, you’re doing it wrong!’ Does the pot exclaim, ‘How clumsy can you be?’” Beloved, you are not a mistake. Your condition cannot hinder you either. Just make up your mind to be useful. If there is a willing heart, no matter your condition, you can achieve what many people cannot achieve in their completeness. So, stop making your life miserable, and remember that you are special to God. Be wise!

TOPIC: FEAR AND HONOUR THE ALMIGHTY GOD
Bible Verse : And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the LORD, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding. Job 28:28
LISTEN : The fear of God is the height of human wisdom and understanding. God is great and above all else. He loves us the way He loves His begotten Son Jesus Christ. He is worthy of worship and praise. And there is no better way to appreciate Him than to fear, obey, worship and honour Him. Sadly, people tend to fear men than God. The fear of God is fast disappearing from the hearts of men today. Beloved, where is the fear of God in your heart? If God is your creator, where is His honour? (Malachi 1:6a). God’s problem with the Israelites was their lack of fear and honour for Him. They were willing to fear men, than fear God. Beloved, do you know that human wisdom is measured by the fear of God? (Job 29:29 ; Pro 9:10). And anyone who lacks the fear of God is empty of real life? Friend, always examine your fear for God. How much fear and love do you have for God? Are you putting His interest above yours? Or yours above His? Joseph, though, a slave boy in Potiphar’s house in Egypt, yet, demonstrated the fear of God when his master’s wife asked to sleep with him. He clearly refused and said, “…how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?” (Gen 39:9). Beloved, like Joseph, determine to honour and fear God always, knowing that He is worthy of your worship, fear and honour. Be wise!
1. Thank the Lord for the gift of life.
2. Ask God for forgiveness and restoration.
3. Pray for wisdom to fear and honour God.
4. Pray and cancel every evil plot against you.
Today I prophesy to you, may God give you a heart of wisdom, honour and fear for Him, amen.
