Verse Of The Day : But the one who hates his fellow Christian is in the darkness, walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes. 1John 2:11
LISTEN : Love is the nature of God (1 John 4:8). There can never be a true worship to God if there is no love for Him and humanity (1John 4:20,21). Love for humanity, especially those who are of the household of faith (those who believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour) pleases God and blesses our lives. Every believer in Christ Jesus should express love through his or her life. Love in this context talks about showing interest in the well-being of others and making sacrifices for them no matter what. That is the nature of God. God is love and does everything in love. Therefore, once we have received His love as His children, He expects us to love. Beloved, our claim of piety is in vain if love is missing in our lives. The Bible says, “Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love” (1 John 4:8). Yes! Not to love others is not to love God. Our Bible verse says, “But the one who hates his fellow Christian is in the darkness, walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.” (1John2:11). The command to love others is based on how God has loved us. Since we (believers) have been the recipients of love, we must love. Since Christ has laid down his life for us, we must be willing to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus ( 1 John 3:16 ). Beloved, do you love fellow believers in Christ Jesus? Do you know we are one in Christ? If we are one in Christ we ought to love like God. My dear, love for others will open our eyes to the will of God, but hate will blind our eyes to His purpose. So, let us love. Be wise!

TOPIC : A DIVINE REQUEST
Wednesday, October 24, 2018
Bible Verse : Now when he approached Bethphage and Bethany, at the place called the Mount of Olives, he sent two of the disciples, telling them, “Go to the village ahead of you… you will find a colt tied there that has never been ridden. Untie it and bring it here. If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ just say, ‘The Lord needs it.’” Luke 19:29-31
LISTEN: God owns everything and He can demand anything from us. I am sure by now you might be wondering what the LORD will be requesting from you! Beloved, everyone of us has something to give to the Lord. In our Bible verse, Jesus Christ was about to travel to Jerusalem, and He asked two of His disciples to go to the village ahead of them and fetch Him a donkey with which He could travel by. He gave a specific instruction to them thus: “If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ just say, ‘The Lord needs it.” (Luke 19:31). Friend, notice that the donkey does not belong to Jesus, but He needs it, because He is the master of the universe; and everything belongs to Him. We are just caretakers of what we claim to own; the real owner is God. Truly, those who know God cannot refuse His requests. The owners of the donkey expressed this truth (that everything belongs to God) when the disciples of Jesus Christ came and were untying the donkey, the owners asked them, “Why are you untying that colt?” They replied, “The Lord needs it.” (vv. 33,34). Immediately, they were permitted to take it to the Master. Beloved, what is God asking you to do for His Kingdom today? What is He prompting you to do to speed up His Kingdom assignments and visions on earth? Do you know that God wants us to support and fund His visions and dreams from our own means. Are you responding to that with utmost urgency like the donkey owners of our Bible verse of the day? If not, retrace your steps and the Lord will bless you. Be wise!
