Verse Of The Day : For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Philippians 1:21

LISTEN : No reasonable “man” will be ashamed to declare his unreserved loyalty to the one he adores and respects; instead, he will be glad to announce his love and loyalty to the one he esteems. In the same way, we should declare our loyalty to the living God who created the heavens and the earth. Beloved, can you declare your unreserved loyalty to God? Can you honour and glorify God with your life? Assuming your life in this world is to expire today, will you be glad to return home to God who created you? In our verse of the day Apostle Paul declared his unchanging resolve for God. He said, “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” (Philippians 1:21). What does he really mean by that? He was simply saying that he lives just to honor Christ with his life (Galatians 2:20); but if he dies, that will be better for him, because then he will be completely and forever united with Christ Jesus. Yes! To a true believer in Christ Jesus, death is an opportunity to exit the wicked world and transit to a better place. Beloved, are you truly living for God or just for yourself? To live just for yourself is to live for nothing. (Mark 8:36,37). He who abandons God to pursue the world, will eventually discover that he has laboured in vain. Surely, those who live in this life just to please themselves at the expense of God, will exit this world to mourn and groan forever in torment. Be wise!

Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?
1. No matter what, do not trade your faith for anything, instead, be strong in faith.
2. Do not live just for yourself, instead, determine to live for God.
3. Never trade God for wealth or fame, because you will lose them without God.
4. Determine to live for God whether dead or alive.

Prayer : Dear Lord, I bless your name because your son Christ Jesus died for the salvation of the world. Help me to put my trust in you and serve you as long as I live, amen.

Bible Verse : You are from God, little children, and have conquered them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 1 John 4:4

LISTEN: Our God is superior to all. Those who hide in Him are protected. Beloved, you may have nothing, but when you have Jesus Christ you have everything. You have authority over Satan and his agents. You belong to God, the Lion of the tribe of Judah; hence should be bold as the Lion. (Proverbs 28:1) There is no reason to fear or doubt when you are walking with God. Fear cannot dominate your heart if your heart is occupied with faith. Truly, when Jesus Christ is at the center of our lives victory is guaranteed in every battle. The Bible says, “For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith.” (1John 5:4). Beloved, your faith is important to what happens to you and how you come out of it. So, do not allow your faith to fail. When your faith fails, your confidence will collapse ; and when your confidence collapses , fear will dominate your life. Therefore, no matter your concern about the future, your health, finances, etc., do not worry! Just trust God and He will give you victory. (1 John 4:4). Be wise!

1. Thank God for your life and the lives of others.
2. Confess your sin and ask God for forgiveness.
3. Ask God for grace to live by faith and not by sight.
4. Intercede for believers in Christ around the world for grace to live by faith.
5. Pray against all sorts of wickedness tonight, and ask God to keep you safe.

Today I prophesy to you, may God keep you strong and courageous. May the Lord help and strengthen your faith, in Jesus’ name, amen.
