Verse Of The Day : The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God. Psalms 9:17

LISTEN : Today (October the 1st), my country Nigeria is celebrating her 58th independence anniversary. Nigeria got her independence from the British government (the colonial masters) in the year 1960. We gained freedom to govern our own country by our own people, and to manage our resources by ourselves. Praise God! (Psalms 126:1-3). Like other nations of the world, we are blessed with mineral resources, human resources, manpower, etc., to make us great in every aspect. But we seemed to have missed the way. Until we truly acknowledge God in our affairs, it will be impossible to achieve our God-given destiny as a nation. Though we are independent as a nation, yet, we should be dependent on God. We should embrace the fear of God and shun corruption and all manner of evil. This message is not just about Nigeria alone, but all nations of the world. No matter how independent or self-sufficient a nation claims to be, God should be acknowledged as supreme and the only true God. Sadly, science has made some nations of the world to think they do not have need for God. They fail to understand that God created the human mind (brains) with which they have invented, discovered, manufactured, and produced things for the good of humanity. It is therefore unwise, unfair and foolish to forget God. Our Bible verse says, “The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.” (Psalms 9:17). Many people and nations of the world have forgotten God; and in due time God will also forget them except they repent. (Luke 3:9). Beloved, let us retrace our steps and learn to depend on God no matter our “independence.” Be wise!

Bible Verse : For we live by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7

LISTEN: Faith brings God’s hands upon your life. It keeps you focused on God and not on your problems: it guarantees victory in every battle of life. Life is a “battle field; ” as a result, everyday casualty is recorded. However, God is urging you to have faith, so that He will assist you in these battles of life. When Satan comes, he comes to kill, steal and destroy. (John 10:10). His intention is to leave you miserable and heartbroken. Beloved, when you lost your child, your marriage, job, business, loved one, health, etc., did you know the devil’s intentions was to see you give up on life and die unfulfilled? But I have good news for you, it is not yet over with you, God is still working for you behind the scenes ; and the raging battles of your life will soon be over as you call on God for intervention. (Psalms 18: 3). Beloved, you are not alone. God is with you. He will revive and refresh you with abundant life when the battle is over. My dear, be strong and learn to live by faith, not by sight. To live by faith is to anchor your hope in God. It is to believe God for the impossible (Luke 1: 37). Besides, it means to believe that whatever you are going through will soon be over. Henceforth, do not be distracted by what you see around you, instead, trust in the LORD and you will certainly receive divine intervention. Be wise!

1. Thank God for your life and the lives of others.
2. Confess your sin and ask God for forgiveness.
3. Ask God for grace to live by faith and not by sight.
4. Intercede for believers in Christ around the world for grace to live by faith.
5. Pray against all sorts of wickedness tonight, and ask God to keep you safe.

Today I prophesy to you, may God keep you strong and courageous. May the Lord help you to walk by faith and not by sight, in Jesus’ name, amen
